About NKK

One century back in 1912, Nippon Kokan Kaisha (NKK) successfully pierced round billets to make pipes and started Japan’s first seamless pipe production. That was the start of NKK Corporation. As for UOE/SAW pipes, NKK was again a pioneer to start production in Yokohama in 1960. With this challenging spirit and innovative technologies, JFE Steel, which was established as a merger of NKK and Kawasaki in 2003, have been deeply and enthusiastically involved with supplying various steels for energy industry.
